Jr Corps team members explored the sciences at the STEM action center

Together they explored approaches to teamwork and basic engineering by building rudimentary structures from block materials, firing an air cannon at human targets, taking control of robot warriors in a battlebot ring, performing basic laboratory functions, and taking command of a simulated drone control station.

Building bridges is easier with an ally!
During the event Jr Corps members were able to speak to science and industry representatives from all facets of STEM. Go Teame!

STEM RESEARCH DAY: Jr Corps team members explored the sciences at the STEM action center
Keywords: - -
TZJC members explored approaches to teamwork and basic engineering by building rudimentary structures from block materials, firing an air cannon at human targets, taking control of robot warriors in a battlebot ring, performing basic laboratory functions, and taking command of a simulated drone control station.

OPERATION STORM RACE: TZJC plan and execute a 3 mile recon hike, recording signs of wildlife along the way.
Keywords: - Nature - - -
Completion of the hike was faced by a looming deadline in the form of a swiftly approaching storm that brought heavy winds and snow to the area. Junior Corps members, who had to perform all planning activities on their own initiative, managed to complete all required steps and successfully perform the hike.

TAG, YOU HIT! - Jr Corps practice working together under pressure and maneuvering while under attack by opposing forces utilizing laser-directed simulated munitions
Keywords: - -
Each TZJC member moves in step with their battle buddy, and covers their zones to achieve their next objective!

TZ Junior Corps playtime with ROV.4 and ROV.5!
Keywords: - -
TZJC members played tag and capture the flag, as well as practicing giving commands and interactions in a human/ROV free-play environment. Compressed-air launched projectiles were fired to compare accuracy against ROV.5 MLRS modules. Practice moving around, forming up, sharing duties, and safely handling ROV units were important skills to practice TZJC focus on safety, adventure, science and technology learning was a key aspect.

GAME-THE MORAL MACHINE: Judge moral dilemmas faced by an autonomous machine in various scenarios
