Teame Zazzu Mountain Division led TZ participants in coordinated underground operations conducting a tunnel complex safety survey. TZ forward operators located and secured the entrance with K9 units during patrols in a mountainous region southwest of the Great Salt Lake.

Drone Division utilized a TZ.ROV.V.5 drone to scout and tunnels and gauge ground stability for armed�TZMD operators. Teame members then moved through the tunnels clearing mine shafts and marking hazards. After locating a vertical shaft inside the tunnel complex, the ROV.V.5 was lowered via tether along a 90 degree angle of declination approximately 20 meters to assess rappel breach procedures and allow for FMV recording and transmission.

TZMD operators successfully secured the tunnel complex during underground operations and egressed the area under cover of darkness after hoist recovery of the TZ.ROV.V.5 drone unit. TZMD operators then�completed a drone assisted ground patrol of surrounding areas, rendezvousing with additional TZMD mobile assets. Go Teame!

OPERATION WILDERNESS IN THE CITY: A full-scale urban-wilderness interface search and rescue exercise in conjunction with regional and state emergency responders to test planning, operational coordination and mass search and rescue operations.

Wilderness in the city was conducted at the Coal Creek Arena and adjoining Sand Creek Regional Greenway. TZK9 handlers observed SimCell participant roles and responsibilities as indicated by scenario controllers. TZMD operatives led Team and Agency players in direct action under exercise evaluation observers. An after-action report, participant feedback report, and Controller and Evaluator Debriefing was collected to conduct improvement planning for corrective action programs.

Operation Gunlock Trend capped off a week of exercises in honor of Sector 7 Leader Colin Weiss. TZ achieved several benchmarks in coordinated maneuvers with K-9 units, including a mile run-swim and water introductory course.

TZMD COUPLES TRAINING: Enhanced cohesion and anticipatory improvisation skills development

TZMD Couples Training is designed to enhance situational awareness, anticipatory improvisation and unit cohesion. In crisis remediation, a couple that trains is the couple that remains. Training together allows couples efficient emergency response skills by mitigating friction and improving teamwork protocols and tactical adjustment.

OPERATION FALCON BERM: TZMD completed the live-fire exercises using close combat small unit tactics low vertically separated man-portable UAS surveillance equipment.

The operation focused on airspace control and air-ground integration planning and strategies for distributed asymmetrical deployment, recovery and appointment of UAS systems.
