STEM RESEARCH DAY: Jr Corps team members explored the sciences at the STEM action center

TZJC members explored approaches to teamwork and basic engineering by building rudimentary structures from block materials, firing an air cannon at human targets, taking control of robot warriors in a battlebot ring, performing basic laboratory functions, and taking command of a simulated drone control station.

TZ Junior Corps playtime with ROV.4 and ROV.5!

TZJC members played tag and capture the flag, as well as practicing giving commands and interactions in a human/ROV free-play environment. Compressed-air launched projectiles were fired to compare accuracy against ROV.5 MLRS modules. Practice moving around, forming up, sharing duties, and safely handling ROV units were important skills to practice TZJC focus on safety, adventure, science and technology learning was a key aspect.


FISH FARMERS: A visit to a fish hatchery allows TZ JC members to inspect a hatchery facility and answer questions to fish and game officials.

Over 200 thousand fish per year are raised and released into rivers, streams and lakes from this facility. Teame members were taken through the entire process, learning interesting facts at each step along the way. The process of liquid water oxygenation and mobile high population transport methods were particular subjects of focus during question and answer sessions.
