ZAZZU

A large group of flying drones is a swarm.

Together, the drones exhibit emergent behavior which surpasses the simple operations by any single unit.

Swarm attacks generally follow a circling pattern with sudden vectoring towards the target.
Stigmergy is a mechanism of indirect coordination between agents or actions. The principle is that the trace left in the environment by an action stimulates the performance of a next action, by the same or a different agent. In that way, subsequent actions tend to reinforce and build on each other, leading to the spontaneous emergence of coherent, apparently systematic activity. Go Teame!

ROBOT ARM ASSEMBLY: Zazzu Junior Corps practiced following detailed step by step instructions to assemble a working robotic arm from prefabricated parts.
Keywords: - Robots - - DIY - - -
The robot arm features four points of articulation. It is electrically powered by an on-board battery connected by Junior Corps members following simple wiring diagrams. Fundamental machine principles such as screws, levers, fulcrums, and powered motion are practically demonstrated by the rotating, lifting, and grasping robotic arm.

FISH FARMERS: A visit to a fish hatchery allows TZ JC members to inspect a hatchery facility and answer questions to fish and game officials.
Keywords: - Nature - - Public Policy - - Fish -
Over 200 thousand fish per year are raised and released into rivers, streams and lakes from this facility. Teame members were taken through the entire process, learning interesting facts at each step along the way. The process of liquid water oxygenation and mobile high population transport methods were particular subjects of focus during question and answer sessions.

TAG, YOU HIT! - Jr Corps practice working together under pressure and maneuvering while under attack by opposing forces utilizing laser-directed simulated munitions
Keywords: - -
Each TZJC member moves in step with their battle buddy, and covers their zones to achieve their next objective!

TZ Junior Corps playtime with ROV.4 and ROV.5!
Keywords: - -
TZJC members played tag and capture the flag, as well as practicing giving commands and interactions in a human/ROV free-play environment. Compressed-air launched projectiles were fired to compare accuracy against ROV.5 MLRS modules. Practice moving around, forming up, sharing duties, and safely handling ROV units were important skills to practice TZJC focus on safety, adventure, science and technology learning was a key aspect.
